Back to the regularly scheduled etc…

We’re back on form, boostering about the place, grinning and hissing through all of our 7 teeth like a little viper…. Sooo glad to see R happy again. The fact that this is entirely due to some really awful drugs - steroids and antibiotics - dulls my pleasure somewhat, as does the sneaking suspicion that as soon as they wear off he’ll slowly sink back down into the doldrums, as he has before.

We have another doctor’s appointment on Thursday and then I’m stamping my foot for a paediatrician to see him. So what if I’m overprotective.

Anyhow, for now he’s fit (ish). sleeping through again, not coughing or hacking as much, and he’s back at nursery. I’m back at work and I have to say, meanly, that it’s a relief and a pleasure to be back in grown-up land with space around my head in order to breathe and to think.
