Just waiting, sweetheart…

The boys have taken over my office for a meeting and I am cast away into the outer darkness. I have gossiped with the builder, chatted animatedly with my colleague, drunk a number of cups of tea and have now run out of things I can usefully do, not that any of the above were useful per se.
It is interesting (if only slightly so) that without a workstation, particularly your own workstation, most of us would be unable to work at all.
Anyhow, it’s POETs day once again, thankee sai, and we’re off to the caff shortly for a slap-up Friday lunch. This is why I love working on a business park. We attend the more egalitarian of the two cafes; the other has seperate seating for managers and staff. I’m not kidding. I think the menus are different too. We have to go there soon, if only to observe this great social experiment in action…

I’d be lost without my workstation. It has EVERYTHING I need, not only for work but for most of my social life, too!
Separate seating for managers and staff? Do they realise they are an episode of The Office? (And not in a good way?)
Oh yeah baby. This is the town where grade G’s at the local chicken plant wear jacket and tie under their boiler suit. Presumably to differentiate them from grade H’s!
