Chekhov has nothing on me

Oh, the post-modern angst of waiting on the telephone…. I’m on with Continental and at least Celia is ultra-polite, helpful and intelligent. It makes a chore almost a pleasure to be treated so deferentially. Of couse, this is a US company. I know how short the shrift would be if I was on with a UK company.
Travel looms large this week as us Truceophiles contemplate the loss, if only temporarily, of the most glittering star in our firmament… we’ll have to look for some sort of replacement. But what??? Boo-hoo!



Do you work with Truce? That’s sad that you’ll llose your pal, even if it is temporary. Maybe you could make a short little hop over to Aussieland for a girl’s weekend?

Nope, we don’t work together - we’re just very, very good pals. We met at university, shared a flat as students and then again in London when we were working there, and try and stay in touch as much as possible - like you and Shirley!
But I fully intend to be emailing and blogging as much as ever when I’m in Sydney, so she won’t escape me!!!
In fact, she’s coming to visit tomorrow - and I’m taking the whole day off to prepare
