…aaaand, she’s off!!!

So we say goodbye - for now! - to T who jets off to Aus in the next couple of days. Not without a sense of wistful ‘me-too’ wishing that just won’t go away.

We’ve talked before about the grass being greener, or at least appearing that way, but you can’t deny the power of suggestion. Particularly not when you are practicing the equivalent of hypnosis on yourself - of course it would be better, you’ll never know unless you try, yadayadayada… Actually, of course it’s impossible.

This propensity to dream unhelpful dreams is a function of age and place. We all seem to do it. T has managed to square the circle by a) dreaming, but not letting it get the better of her and b) doing it, but not at the expense of anyone else. She is the supreme winner here, and can only get good and make good out of it.

Anything on the same lines from me would qualify as an unmitigated life-knackerer. Curious!
