The B & B was run by a woman who was so nice, so sympatico, so tuned in to the whole difficulty with taking children away for the weekend, that I didn’t need to explain or apologise when R got up at 4am and proceeded to booster about yawping. Althought I did both explain AND apologise! she waved it off.
She has three boys of her own, runs the B & B which is (rightly) busy all year, helps on the farm, does free-range eggs, runs a livery yard and keeps her home and garden looking amazing. She is without doubt my nomination for superwoman of the year on the domestic front. And looks fresh, well-rested and superbly organised at 7am, even having her make-up on.
So I hereby say loudly - Go stay at Manor Farm B & B at Fyfield near Oxford - it’s great!

I hereby second that vote! Motion carried.
However, Ms Chairperson, I would also like it to be noted for the record that the aforementioned Piereth herself manages to care both for a new baby and a slightly older child (hubby), cook up a storm, keep a gorgeous home and the most beautiful cottage garden, successfully holding down a demanding and responsible job, whilst at the same time making her clothes look good and making perfect skin look like a god-given right.
*Round of applause from Down Under.*
Bah! *embarrassed shuffling and coughing, hands behind back* Thankyou Sweetie xxx
Okay. I really need to come to England. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do even before I read Bridget Jones’ Diary!
I wonder how much time we would need to see all the sites and historical places in London and then end the holiday with the Bed and Breakfast you’ve linked to. I think the only thing I would worry about is if there is enough stuff for a 15 year old boy and a 10 year old girl to do.
I’ve been saving for a big holiday …I may have to pop in to the travel agent this afternoon …… I’ll keep you posted!
Jen, you should come. England is frookin expensive but tiny so you can get around so easily… and the food-type specialities! Don’t believe what you hear about English food!
Cream Teas, Ham and eggs, Ploughmans Lunches, and the chocolate will blow you away. xxx
