My colleague Paul, the world’s Most Positive Man, is up a scaffold inside the unit today, attempting to insulate the roof. This is trying even his superhuman patience as the sticky stuff don’t stick, the staples don’t go in and so we have £650-odd of slinky space-age insulation sheeting sitting around idle.

He tells me that the secret of being positive is not getting exercised over the stuff you can’t change. I admire his gumption!
