Waging War

The lines are now drawn for a showdown with the garden, that raging colossus of plantlife. Dave the Tree is coming over on Saturday to consult the list I’ve left for him and to price the job, then he’s back on the 21st October to chop and drag away about three tons of unwanted herbage. He’s a great fella, all trees are either ‘he’ or ’she’ to him.

Then, mother in law and myself will clear all the herbaceous plants to make way for R’s new ’sitting and thinking’ lawn.

Theeennnn… more plants, new window box greenery finery, winter tubs and outdoor twinkly lights for the deck. It’ll look like an Icelandic hacienda when I’ve finished.
