Thank God for Mother-in-Laws!

This is not an ironic statement, but a statement of fact!
Mine is wonderful. She is here for 2 weeks, and I got home today to smell the heavenly aroma of dinner cooking. Beautiful. I couldn’t ask for more. She’s letting husband and I go out two nights for dinner alone! and we’re able to nip out for drinky-poos during the week too. She’s going to help me dig my garden. She brought bottles and bottles of wine with her - from Ibiza. She’s great.
Why can’t everyone’s mother-in-law be this nice!

I like my MIL but I LOVE yours. Red wine and cooking!!! All I can say is Wow.
My MIL dotes on me, too. I’ve been pretty lucky. Except she’s a teetotaler. Oh, well, can’t have everything.
Jenny, she’s so fabulous, I just wish she lived in England full-time. We don’t see her half enough.

Ombudsben, to be doted on by an in-law is a wonderful feeling - like having another parent for yourself. Teetotal? Well, I suppose that’s a benefit too - we got talking last night and I put away the best part of a bottle of Chardonnay to myself (erk). Shouldn’t do that too often!
We should clone her and sell her online… I know several Mums who would pay dearly for such services.
And you know what, in about 30 years time I’m sure you’ll be exactly the same sort of MIL for R’s partner…! Eeek!
Blimey, there’s a thought! Quick I need a drink to recover from that one…!!!! lol xxx
