Good food, good friends

Ah , there’s nothing better than the above, no?
Having a lovely evening, with Matt and Sian, who have graced us with their presence, and made our weekend very much more lovely than it would have been.
More later after another bottle of white and the remains of the cava!

Sounds like a lovely weekend. Silly question … what’s cava? Is it something like Truce’s beer and lemonade (which sounds weirdly refreshing, by the way)?
Ah, Jenny - Cava is sparkling white wine, usually Italian, not Champagne as it is not from, well, Champagne, but lovely stuff nonetheless!
It is usually a bit less yeasty-tasting than champers, which suits me, and it does unfortunately come in extra-sweet varieties too, which I never touch - but at £5 a bottle as opposed to £25 for decent champagne, it’s worth every penny. And no hangover!
