I have a real thing for etchings, particularly this sort, I don't like chocolate-box artwork and this has all the good sides of that, the realism soberly rendered, the bright colour, the quiet subject-matter, without the tweeness and the pathos. Also I adore landscapes. And trees! I discover collecting art is truly one area where you just have to get what you like and not worry about the eventual value - ! And as I have now 6 original works I suppose you could say I had a collection. Better than handbags, not quite as good as Henry Moore! Gosh, didn’t think about that…. *cogs start to tick*.
