Treat!

Yes, it’s that time again, it’s….. weekend off!!!!
Sounds right shallow. I don’t mean to say that we’re relieved that we don’t have to look after R this weekend, or that we’re glad to be rid of him, or anything negative at all. Parents everywhere will relate, I’m sure - if you’ve not had enough time with your partner in life, there’s only one solution - make some.
So Mouse will be going to the place he loves almost as much as being with us - his nana and papa’s. He’ll eat cake and play with his sand tray and run about and dig in the garden with mum, wrestle the dog and sit with papa and play on the computer, watch Bagpuss and Ivor the Engine, go for walks to see the newborn lambs down the village, and get thoroughly and comprehensively fed.
We will slope about the town, catching up on our window shopping, have coffee and read the papers, hang some pictures, go to the garden centre and enjoy each other’s company.
The two of us are so close to Mouse and love him so much that it does him good to have time with other people. We know he enjoys it. And we get to recharge our batteries and really relax. Everyone’s happy!

I very much look forward to the day when Auntie Truce can have R for the weekend/Gap Year.
Truce, you’re lovely. But if anyone’s coming across the world to Australia it’s ME FIRST!!!
The thought that I could pack him off on a genuine adventure, knowing he was as safe as houses in your care, is worth diamonds. Thank you.
