Ohh, what a lovely day we had. And Mouse got some truly amazing gifts. A JCB Jnr toolbench and tools, a minature Dyson hoover, a proper big boys bike and stabilisers, a farm set, playdoh, clothes, books and money. He ate his own weight in cake and rolled around on the floor with the dog. He was so worn out that he never noticed Mr P sneaking out of the house at 5.30 this morning to drive to Norwich; I only woke up when I heard him knocking his bottle against the cot bars at 8am. Today we’ve been playing with his tools and fixing things, hoovering up and when he wakes up later I’ve got a biscuit decoration set for him to spread with icing and chocolate sprinkles.
If only it wasn’t hacking down with rain we could go out into the garden to dig, and the day would be complete - no chance of that though, it’s a quagmire (great word) out there, and he might sink without trace into the ordure.
So, I’m dyeing my hair and defrosting the freezer simultanously (a dangerous manouevre, by anyone’s standards) and whisking about getting organised for the week; back to nursery tomorrow and I’ve got a shedload of work on - speeding towards the weekend when A and L come to see us!!

What a fun Mom you are! Sounds like a great birthday party!
You know … my kids are much older and still love decorating cookies with icing and sprinkles! We’ll be coloring eggs this weekend - they still love that too!
I thought about painting some eggs too - what fun, I haven’t done that since I was knee-high to a grasshopper!
Happy belated birthday to M.
Thanks so much, my dear! When’s Bean’s birthday?
