Drove down to Somerset to see dear friends S & K, at their lovely new house. And to go to a lecture! A perfect day; I left Hereford in a right grump and feeling very unsettled and by the timeĀ I got to Somerset I was chilled out, calm and happy.
The acid test for visiting friends is; did you want to leave? I didn’t. Luckily for me, I’m seeing them again at the end of April, and this time for a whole weekend! Joy!!

First of all, both you and Truce take GREAT photographs! What’s your new header about? Perhaps you two should publish a book.
I got together with my friends from high school last week … I also didn’t want it to be over. We’re very lucky to have friends like that!
That picture is my crab apple tree Malus Andirondack, a dwarf tree that puts out the neatest little leaves and lovely ruffled pink blossoms, then red crab apples in autumn. I took the shot facing North, down my garden, and you can just see the house at the foot of my plot on the right.
Thanks for saying you like it! I wanted to take a picture that said Spring.
I’d love to do a collaborative effort with Truce - she’s better’n me at words AND pictures lol!
I also like the bottom photo in your”flickr” window. I really like plants on a windowsill. I also have little hanging things (like your star) from my kitchen window. I’ve decided to try to buy one each time we go on a holiday. They’re pretty.
I beg to differ - Piereth is easily better than me at both words and pics!
The Malus pic is a beaut. I can almost hear the sap rising!
Glad you had a good weekend.
Yum, green and crunchy!
I’m trying not to buy any more stuff, rather, to clear out stuff a room at a time! I’m an inveterate hoarder of bits.
Thanks Truce! xx
