My poor mouse!
R is cutting two henormoose teeth at the right on the back – we’ve had a frantic three days, mum and I; sleeping in shifts of three hours and trying our best to keep a tired, terrified and aching Mouse from blowing his stack completely. R is suffering doubly because he’s never really had any pain to deal with. This sounds ridiculous but it’s true; even the chickenpox passed him by, more or less. Nothing like this.
It got to the point where he was so sure things were going to hurt his mouth that he wouldn’t eat or drink. We decided this morning to try something new – all our efforts weren’t working, so I made him a bag of little sandwiches and took him along to the nursery. Magically, he walked in, sat down and started eating sarnies phlegmatically out of his bag. And drinking. Relief!
I must be freaking him out or something. Just the thought that I was making this worse makes me so miserable. It’s been a terrible weekend.
D had to work all three days and it rained like stair-rods the entire time. Total wash-out. Now back at work and enjoying the rest!

2 top molars coming in here this week as well and T is NOT eating anything (which really stresses out her mama since she is so tiny anyway!). I feel so bad for her as well and worried as usual so I know what you mean.
My dear, we must be a pair of blithering wrecks, I think. Wanna meet up for a few drinks and some relaxing music on the porch?
Here’s hoping T feels better in short order – poor little mice we have!
Hello Piereth!
I tried clicking on your last post, but for some reason, it’s not working.
How’s R and his poor little mouth? Why is it that some kids sail through teething and others have such a problem?
I am so sorry for you and your “flooding problem”! What a mess! Yikes! Wish I could help somehow … I’ll just send positive thoughts over the ocean!
Jen, it’s amazing, but we’re just taking each day as it comes – I’m really not as stressed as I could be and actually can see the funny side! A year ago i’d've been freaking. So I must be doing something right!!
Thanks my dear – R’s doing so well now, gnawing on the bars of his cot, the little pagan!
